/ABOUT

Midstrom is Europe’s first dedicated biogenic CO₂ aggregator, transforming emissions from the pulp and paper sector into critical feedstock for the e-fuel and permanent CO2 storage markets.

Deploying a “Build-Own-Operate” model, the company finances and manages the entire infrastructure chain, removing financial risk from emitters while guaranteeing bankable, industrial-scale supply of this critical feedstock.

As a vital market-maker, Midstrom is bridging the gap between today’s pulp mills and the clean energy providers of tomorrow. Midstrom has secured Letters of Intent from several European pulp and paper groups and is actively advancing its First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) cluster in Sweden.

Capitalizing on the relatively mature e-fuel projects in Sweden and underground storage projects in both Denmark and Norway, Midstrom is aiming to come online with its FOAK in 2030.

/OUR UNIQUE APPROACH

Ownership Model Unlocks New Markets
Directly finances, owns, and operates capture infrastructure. Shifts risk off emitters and enables market-making.
Value chain approach
Midstrom coordinates the CCUS value chain, aligning emitters, off-takers and capital. By integrating the full value chain, we de-risk capture projects, pool expertise and ensure bankable CO₂ supply.
Europe’s First Biogenic CO₂ Aggregator
Europe’s first platform dedicated to aggregating biogenic CO₂ from pulp & paper. Delivering all year-round, traceable supply at industrial scale (first mover advantage).
Exclusive EU focus
Dedicated development team assessing and de-risking sites, with local knowledge and contacts to drive FOAK and replication.
Our unique approach

/TRACTION

183 industrial sites screened across 15 EU countries, with priority focus on pulp & paper mills for consistent, high-volume supply of biogenic CO₂.
